Timeline is here and while some are warming up to it, many are still disliking the new timeline.
When it comes to social media changes I strongly encourage you to move along as swiftly as possible and not waste time moaning about the changes.
Here are a few tips to improve your business page on Facebook:
Pin a Post: When you pin a post that post will always appear as the first post (on top) on the brand page. You pin a post by scrolling over the top right corner of any post, click on the edit or remove button and select pin to top.
Highlight a Post: When you highlight a post the post will appear across the page over both columns. You highlight a post by scrolling over the top right corner of any post, click on the star, which will then highlight the post.
Recommendation: Refer happy clients to the recommendation tab on the right hand side of the page under the "recent posts by others". This creates a good impression when visitors/potential clients view your page.
Cover photo and profile pic: Use these two features to optimise your brand. Make sure your photos are unique and aligned with the brand. Your cover photo dimensions should be 851 pixels wide x 315 pixels tall. The profile picture must be at least 180 pixels wide.
Vanity URL: Log in to your Facebook account. In the URL tab add the word username to the Facebook URL. It should read www.facebook.com/username then follow instructions to create the vanity URL.
And last but not least post good content! You will build more trust and influence with the value you provide your fans.
