Wow! It's here again.. Our dear friend Monday. The stubborn buddy that returns no matter how much it is disliked. Anyway lets start Monday with Friday's attitude and see what happens. :)
On the point of delivery, I am sure if we compare our "to-do" lists today we will definitely have a competition on hand. What I love doing with my "to-do" list is first add actions that I have already completed just so that I can tick them off, it makes me feel so much better. My to-do list also has items that return every week, they just never seem to get the tick of completion. To-do list actions get split up between priority, high priority and not so important.
When it comes to delivery, especially to clients, these remain high priority on the to-do list. Let's make an effort to deliver on time, every time and with the greatest of quality. We are accountable each time we promise to deliver. Delivery or non-delivery is not taken lightly. The next referral and the one thereafter is based on how well we have delivered before.
Here's to today and the week ahead... Keep calm and deliver WELL!
I really feel that some people just lose the plot when it comes to business. Why do we mess up relationships because greed takes over and instead of reaping the benefits of ROR - Return on Relationships, we benefit from a once off ROI - Return on Investment. We need to understand that relationships are so so important, precious, valuable and that clients will come back to you over and over again if they feel comfortable, happy, confident and safe when doing business with you.
Another mindset that is extremely difficult to change is "mine, it's all mine". I find that sharing in business is not very common. Surely there is enough for all to go around. How about having a piece of the pie, than having no pie at all? Greed has killed more companies than it has saved. Let's try something quickly: Take your business or your brilliant idea and place it in the palm of your hand. Now clench your fist, go on do it. Clutch your business or idea as if to show possession, that it's yours and nobody is allowed to come near it, or have a look at it or even contribute to it. Have a look at your clenched fist, what do you see? I see lack of growth, suffocation, stagnation, greed, selfishness.
Truth be told, we all want to survive, but we want to succeed as well. The following principles have taught me alot, I have seen growth in applying them. Give without expecting anything in return, collaboration is better than competition, do business with much integrity, do good again and again and again, spread love and sunshine. In the end you win, I win, we all win!
